FAQs for SimaPro Desktop Integrated Login

Updated today

This page documents common questions regarding the Integrated Login in SimaPro Desktop that was introduced in SimaPro 10.4 version. If you can't find answers to your questions, please reach out to the SimaPro Support team at [email protected]. If you wish to follow the step-by-step procedure on how to access SimaPro desktop using Integrated Login, please see this article.

  1. How long do I stay signed in?
Once you sign in, your session remains active for 24 hours. During this time, you won't need to sign in again. Once your session expires, you will be asked to sign in again. Please make sure that you are connected to the internet to be able to sign in. Otherwise, SimaPro will throw an error as mentioned in the previous point.

  2. Do I need to sign in every time I open SimaPro?
Not necessarily. If your previous session is still active, SimaPro will open without requiring you to sign in again.

  3. What happens if I close the browser after signing in?
You will remain signed in as SimaPro keeps you signed in for 24 hours once you successfully log in. During this time, you don't need to sign in again, even if you restart SimaPro or shut your computer down.

  4. I already had a One Click LCA account. Do I still need to create another account to sign in?
If you already had an existing One Click LCA account, you can simply use your existing account to login. You don't need to create a new account.

  5. What happens if I don't have internet or if I lose my internet connection?
An internet connection is required for daily authentication. If SimaPro is used in an offline or restricted environment, please review this requirement before installing or updating to this version. You won't be able to complete the login process while being offline. However, after signing in, you can continue working in SimaPro if your session is still active, even if you are offline.

  6. I cannot authenticate and I receive the following error instead. What does it mean?

This indicates that you are not connected to the internet. Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection.

  7. SimaPro is not responding while I'm trying to sign in. What should I do?
Please first make sure that you have a stable internet connection. After that, click "Retry". If SimaPro is still not responding, you can force quit the program (via Task Manager) and start SimaPro again. If the issue persists, please reach out to our Support team at [email protected].

  8. What happens if my subscription expires after updating to SimaPro 10.4?
When your subscription license expires, you will still be required to authenticate. However, SimaPro will run in demo mode with limited functionalities; for instance, you can still open your existing projects and run calculations, but you can no longer make changes to the models. See also this article for further implications once your license expires.

  9. What happens when there are multiple instances of SimaPro open?
When there are multiple instances of SimaPro open, you don't need to authenticate again unless you choose the "Exit and sign out" option.

  10. I have followed the step-by-step guideline, but I still encounter issues. What can I do?
If you have issues with logging in, please feel free to reach out to our SimaPro Support team at [email protected].
