What Is Included?
License basics:
SimaPro Cloud edition — full access to the SimaPro Cloud platform for 1 year from activation.
All standard SimaPro Business functionality, so you can model, calculate, and analyze your own LCA projects.
The BAFU database, included so you can build and run complete assessments.
A pre-loaded example model (e-bike) to help you explore SimaPro's modeling logic and get started quickly.
Learning support:
Access to the Introduction to LCA & SimaPro Cloud tutorial, covering the fundamentals of LCA and how to navigate SimaPro.
What Is Not Included?
Other databases: The Student license includes BAFU only. Ecoinvent and other paid databases are not available on this plan.
Compliance packs: Compliance packs are not included with the Student license.
Multiple users: Each Student license covers 1 user in 1 organization — it isn't intended for group or shared team accounts.
SimaPro Desktop: The Student license is cloud-only; the desktop edition isn't included.
License extension: The license runs for 1 year and cannot be extended or renewed. Once it expires, you'd need to apply for a new license if you're still eligible, or look at SimaPro's other plans.
Instant activation: Unlike some other student programs, every SimaPro Student application is reviewed and approved individually by our Customer Success team — accounts aren't created automatically the moment you apply.

Once you submit your application, our Customer Success team will review it and get back to you, typically within the same week.
Get Started with SimaPro
Apply and wait for approval: Submit your application through the chat above. A member of our Customer Success team will manually review it.
Register, log in and activate: Once approved, you'll receive your account details. Register and log in via SSO and accept the Terms & Conditions to activate your license.
Explore the free tutorial project: Use the pre-loaded e-bike model to get familiar with SimaPro's interface and modeling approach before starting your own project.

License validity: Your Student license is valid for 1 year from the date of activation and cannot be renewed.
Account scope: Limited to 1 organization and 1 user per license.
