How to reset your SimaPro Synergy account password (Forgot password)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

If you can’t sign in because you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it from the SimaPro Synergy sign-in page. You’ll receive an email with a reset link, then you’ll set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) and create a new password.

Before you start

  • Make sure you can access the inbox for the email address you use to sign in.

  • Check your spam/junk folder if you don’t see the reset email within a few minutes.

Step-by-step: Reset your password

  1. Open SimaPro Synergy.

  2. On the sign-in page, click Sign in.

  3. Enter your email address, then click Sign in.

  4. Click Forgot password and then click Submit.

  5. Check your email for password reset instructions.

    • Open the email and click the reset link to continue.

  6. Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) using one of the supported authenticator apps:

    • Microsoft Authenticator

    • Google Authenticator

    • FreeOTP

  7. Create a new password, enter it again to confirm, then click Submit.

Password requirements

Your new password must meet all of the following:

  • Minimum length: 8 characters

  • Maximum length: 100 characters

  • Includes at least 1 uppercase letter

  • Includes at least 1 lowercase letter

  • Includes at least 1 number

What happens next

After you submit your new password, you’ll be redirected to your organization in SimaPro Synergy.

Troubleshooting

  • No reset email received: Check spam/junk folders and verify you entered the correct email address.

  • Reset link doesn’t work: Request a new password reset from the sign-in page (links may expire or only work once).

  • MFA setup issues: Confirm you’re using one of the supported authenticator apps listed above and that your phone’s time is set correctly (automatic time is recommended).
