There are two ways to convert a project into a library on SimaPro desktop:
The first one is to change an entire project into a library:
Close the current project.
Choose File in the menu and select Open project.
Select the project you want to change.
Choose Edit in the menu and choose 'Move to library
The second one is to move data from a project to a library:
Select a process or product stage in your project.
Choose Edit in the menu and choose 'Move to library'.
Define selection
Choose an existing library or create a new one
Note! In order to move data to a library, these data must be independent. As libraries are independent, no links to other libraries are allowed. SimaPro will check the independence of the data you wish to move to a library.
If dependencies exist, moving to a library is not possible. You will have to make the data independent, by copying the process tree of all library data to your project, followed by replacing links to library data to project data.
