BAFU:2025 is the latest life cycle inventory (LCI) database developed by the Swiss Federal Administration. This comprehensive database includes over 11,000 third-party-reviewed and mostly disaggregated datasets spanning 176 categories, from construction to waste management. It incorporates the latest technological advancements and is freely accessible under the Swiss Open Government Data strategy, as part of the sustainable development 2024-2027 action plan.
On June 16th, 2026, we teamed up with the Federal Office for the Environment, Swiss Federal Administration, to host an informative webinar on the BAFU:2025 database that is now available in SimaPro.
